SABS Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Arts, Design And Heritages

In Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, there's a special place called Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritages (SABS). It's a public art university that welcomes students from all over the country. This university started in 2020 with the help of a law made by the Sindh Assembly. Before, it was part of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. The idea for this new university came from Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, who wanted an art school in Sindh like the famous National College of Arts in Lahore.

First, Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University (SABS) was called the Federal College of Art and Design (FCAD) and became part of the University of Sindh. Later, the people from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology took care of the construction work. 2004 it became the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design in MUET, Jamshoro. This means the students and teachers moved to a new place, and the university improved.

All of this started in 1992 with the help of Governor Sindh, Mr Mehmood A Haroon, and Prof. AR Nagori. They wanted to create a special place for art and design learning. The government agreed in 1991, and that's when everything began.

The Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritages is a place where art and creativity are essential. It's a place for students to learn about art, design, and our heritage. This university will make Pakistan's creative world even more colourful and unique.
