The University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS) is a special place in Bhitshah Town, Matiari District. This area is famous for the Shrine of Sufi Saint Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. Mr Asif Ali Zardari started the university to give good education in rural Sindh.

University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS) began as a small idea at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. It got its unique name and status on November 21, 2011. Prof. Dr Parveen Munshi became the first Vice-Chancellor on April 11, 2016.
